《北京大学医学教材：临床龋病学》分为三个部分，第一部分，重点介绍与龋病发生有关的基础知识、龋病的病因病理、发病过程、流行情况等；第二部分，重点介绍龋病的临床特点、分类，诊断方法和鉴别诊断、治疗原则、预防技术；第三部分，着重介绍龋病研究的一些前沿问题。对于龋病缺损的修复方法，一般在《牙体牙髓病学》和《口腔修复学》等专著中介绍，读者可以参见相关的书籍，《北京大学医学教材：临床龋病学》不专门介绍。
